GREAT SEASON FINALE FOR JACOPO GUIDETTI AT BURIRAM IN THE THAILAND SUPER SERIES
At his debut in the Asian series, the young driver sponsored by MAK WHEELS of the JAS Motorsport team immediately made his mark by finishing close to the podium at the wheel of the Honda NSX GT3 Evo.
The Christmas weekend was particularly challenging for Jacopo Guidetti, who was present on the Buriram circuit (Thailand) in the final round of the Thailand Super Series. The 19-year-old driver from Lombardy had the chance to get back on board the Honda NSX GT3 Evo of the Vattana Motorsport team in the round that closed the 2021 season of the Asian series, thanks to the opportunity offered to him by JAS Motorsport as part of its Driver Development Programme.
Thanks to the experience gained during the year in the Italian Gran Turismo Championship and in the Monza round of the International GT Open, Guidetti has provided a valuable contribution to the Thai team and his teammate Phuakkarawut Dechathorn, expressing himself at high levels during the weekend and receiving compliments from the whole team. At his first experience abroad and on a track unknown to him, Jacopo set to work with his usual dedication since the first days of testing, discovering a new reality for him and providing the technicians with valuable information to optimize the balance of the car.

The three races, staged between Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 December along the 4554 meters of the Thai circuit, have seen the duo Guidetti-Decathorn author of a steady escalation performance. In the first heat the Vattana Motorsport crew closed in P7, with Jacopo as precious team-man during the second stint to protect the position of the other car of the team, engaged in the fight for the title. Starting from the third row in race 2, Guidetti was the author of a great start that projected him into third place, before making a splendid overtaking that allowed him to give the car to his teammate in second position. A small technical problem during the pit-stop then caused the crew to lose precious seconds, ending up in fifth place under the chequered flag. The Thai round ended the next day with an excellent fourth position, which saw Guidetti again in the role of protagonist and author of excellent chronometric results.
