MAK & Giugiaro @ Salone di Ginevra 2019
MAK was present at the Geneva Motor Show in collaboration with GFG Style - the entrepreneurial setting in which the creative fertility of two of the most famous automotive designers in the world is expressed: Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro. In Geneva, GFG Style unveils its more spectacular fruit. His name is Kangaroo and is defined as the first example of electric propulsion Hyper-Suv. The style of this prototype is a mix of elements from worlds today still far apart: the bodywork is low and slender like a sports car, but the wheels are as large and aggressive as those of an SUV and, strictly signed by MAK, to be precise MAK Special in the size of 22 inches.
Reread the tradition in a more streamlined way, giving flexibility to the experience and ensuring the value of Made in Italy to customers. MAK's collaboration with GFG Style is based on this deep common passion. And it is from this feeling that MAK Speciale was born, an interesting design dedicated to “premium” cars, inspired by the aesthetic lines and technical requirements of luxury brand models. Special features for MAK Speciale are the lightness, fundamental for an electric car, and the differentiation between the two rear wheels, called SPECIALE-D, much more concave than those mounted on the front axle. This distinction is dedicated to those cars that have tires with different dimensions between the axles, such as cars with rear-wheel drive, for example some models of BMW and Maserati. The particular and innovative reinterpretation of the classic honeycomb style makes this modern design the best expression of design of the Brescia-based company.
A prestigious collaboration that shows how the MAK wheels are all unique at the Geneva Motor Show, true masterpieces of design, designed following an in-depth analysis of the market needs of the moment, trying to package a quality product, compatible with the majority number of premium cars that the car fleet offers.
